Plenty of Colorado Snow In June

I made my annual trek to Independence Pass, Colorado on the Continental Divide. Because of the intense snowfall during the winter and spring, there is plenty of snow up there. It is a beautiful snowy wonderland ... in June!

Rocky Mountain Snow Wonderland

The sun finally came out after a long snowstorm in Colorado. All of the nearby ski areas open, and it was an easy job capture the snowy Rocky Mountain wonderland that it was with the camera.

It has been snowing really hard for the past 24 hours and there are no signs of it letting up. There is already two to three feet of snow on the ground here in central Colorado.

Telluride Ski Country Snowy Trail

The Wilson Family in the ski town of Telluride, Colorado provided pictures from two recent snowstorms in late November. The sledding opportunities in this small mountain town appear to be pretty good!

Snow In The Forest Snowy Rock

Walk To A Snowy Pond

I hiked in about two to six inches of snow to an unnamed pond near Cottonwood Pass in Colorado. I would have like to have gone farther, but regretfully I was not wearing shoeshoes at the time.
